Alan Adas Goes for his Interview

Alan Adas Goes for his Interview

The next day, Alan Adas went to his meeting. Inside the room were two chairs and a female with long brown hair in a uniform. Alan sat down in the chair across from her.

She told him this program was very serious and if he was lying he should just leave now. Alan reached into his pocket, took out his driver's license, and handed it to the lady. She was amazed! The picture matched perfectly and the date was from 560 years earlier. She handed him a form. Alan chose to do school in the evening so he had time to work during the day. He signed the papers.

Alan returned to the motel. He went to the front desk to pay his bill. Then, he went back to his room. He opened the door and lied down on his bed. He watched TV for the rest of the night. He slowly drifted asleep knowing his future would be bright.

Alan Adas Recieves a Letter

Alan Adas Recieves a Letter

A few days later, there was a knock on Alan's door. Someone from the font desk was outside his door. Alan opened it and was a handed an envelope. There was a letter inside. It read:

Dear Mr. Alan Adas,

We have received your case about being from the past. We would like to have a meeting with you tomorrow at 5:00pm. Bring a solid piece of evidence so you can prove that you are actually from the past. We hope you can make it!

If you are unable to attend this meeting, please call 169-4327 to reschedule.

Sincerely,
EduC

Alan got dressed and did the exact same work he did every dad. At 4:30, he went back to his room. Alan noticed the letter said he needed solid evidence that he was from the past. He found his wallet and noticed his driver's license was still inside from 560 years earlier. The driver's license had a picture on it making it solid evidence.

He was amazed! He had a solid piece of evidence and would most likely get him into the program. It was the first time since he got in the future that he actually thought everything was going to be okay.

Alan Adas Applies for an Education

The next day, after, work, Alan Adas went to the local police station. He explained that he wasn’t crazy and they had to believe every word he said. He told them how he was walking up the stairs of his work 560 years earlier. He told them how he slipped, hit his head, and woke up where he is now.

The next day, after, work, Alan Adas went to the local police station. He explained that he wasn’t crazy and they had to believe every word he said. He told them how he was walking up the stairs of his work 560 years earlier. He told them how he slipped, hit his head, and woke up where he is now.

With no identity, home, or money, Alan was running out of ideas. As he was passing an electronics store, he saw a commercial on TV advertising a company that would help people get on their feet and get an education. Alan had a great idea of applying for the program. He was hoping to get an education and be able to properly support himself in this mysterious new world.

Alan went into an office supply store. He used his 20 dollars to buy himself some paper, pens, envelopes and a stamp. Alan spent five dollars but thought if he could get an education, he could really turn his life around.

Alan went back to the hotel full of ideas about what to write to the company. He wrote the exact same story he had told to the police earlier that day. He wrote the motel phone number and his room number underneath. Alan folded up the paper and placed it in the envelope. He licked the stamp and stuck it to the upper right corner of the envelope. Then, he wrote the address he had seen on the TV on the envelope. He brought the letter to the front desk of the motel and asked them to mail it for him.

Alan had trouble sleeping that night. He was very nervous. His future relied on whether or not he got accepted for the education program. After awhile, Alan got tired and fell asleep.

Alan Adas Stays at a Motel

It was late afternoon and Alan Adas was in the cemetery. He was shocked by the mysterious grave that said no one knew when he died. Alan knew he didn’t have much time to sit around. He had to find a place to stay for the night. He was also scared because he didn’t know anyone or anywhere that was safe.

There was a small motel down the street. He entered and walked up to the front desk. He asked to meet with the owner to see if he could work for a night in the motel. The owner explained how they were short staff and there was plenty of extra work to be done. He said Alan would have to work late because he couldn’t take a chance he would leave before doing all the work.

Alan really worked late. He didn’t leave until eleven pm. He did jobs like washing dishes and sweeping the lobby. His boss was so impressed, he gave him an extra 20 dollars to go get himself something to eat. Alan was not feeling good after all he had been through that day. Instead of spending the money, he put it away to use another time.

Alan Adas woke up the next day to a knock on the door. His boss was outside. He told him he performed well yesterday and he would pay him full time but he would have to pay for his stay. Alan would work from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm everyday.

Alan got dressed and met him in the office. He gave him the same basic jobs as the day before. He worked right through lunch to make a good impression. At 4:30pm, Alan went back to his room and relaxed getting ready for a big day ahead tomorrow.

Alan Adas Goes to the Future

The alarm clock rang. It was the beginning of what should be another ordinary day for Alan Adas. He woke up, got dressed, and started his day be a peanut butter and jam toast and a nice hot coffee. Alan put on his winter jacket and went outside to go to work. The ground was covered with snow and ice. He brushed off his car window and got inside.

Alan pulled his car up into an empty space at his work. He stepped out of his car and sank into six inches of snow. He went up the stairs of the building. Alan slipped on hidden ice and hit his head off the steel railing. Mr. Adas passed out and was buried beneath the snow.

Alan Adas woke up. The sun was high in the sky. There was no snow or ice on the ground. He only saw tall buildings and futuristic cars that he had never seen before. Alan was in a new world, a world in which he technically didn’t even exist in.

He walked down the street and into the nearest convenience store. He looked at a newspaper. The year was 1568. He had been thought of as dead for the past 560 years!

Alan went to the local cemetery; a place he thought would still be in existence. When he arrived, he was surprised at just how massive it was. If his grave was there, it could take days to find. He knew there was no time like the present to start looking. He walked up and down the cemetery. After what had to be hours, he came across a grave that read:

Alan Adas
1980-?
Who Knows What
Happened To Him

For 560 years no one every new what had happened to him. He was in shock!
